An Alpha Road pizzeria in north Dallas that quietly does more for vegans and vegetarians than most places manage. The pies run from a basil pesto chicken to its vegan twin, plus a malawach pizza built on the Yemenite flatbread; gluten-free and dairy-free builds are handled without fuss. Garlic knots, calzones, salads and fries fill out the rest. Vegan cheese sceptics tend to leave converted - that theme comes up over and over. The hours follow a Shabbat-observant rhythm, closing early on Friday and reopening Saturday night. Straightforward, accommodating, and better than its strip-mall address suggests.
