Miller's Ale House on South University Drive is Davie's default for a game and a proper meal. Screens everywhere, a long bar, and a kitchen that keeps going into the small hours. The Zingers - hand-breaded, buttermilk-dipped boneless chicken with nineteen sauces to choose from - are the signature, and the Zingers Mountain Melt buries them in cheesy bacon fries. The rest reads hearty: barbecue baby back ribs, boom boom shrimp, English pub fish and chips, prime rib carved Thursdays and Sundays. The consistent local refrain is value - plates bigger than the price suggests. Busy, loud, and good at it.
