MINA BISTRO – Restaurant
Tucked among the offices on Northwest 9th Street, Mina Bistro runs on the lunch rush and handles it well. It is a small family operation with a Venezuelan-Italian streak: empanadas and soups that taste like somebody's kitchen, clean salads and vegetarian plates, a smash burger the chef is known for, steak and fries, bacon cheese fries, and an Oreo milkshake that undoes all of it. The coconut lemonade has its own following. Tables sit close and the room fills fast, but service moves and the mood stays easy. Downtown workers treat it as their canteen. Homemade, unpretentious, quick.
