MIRIS CAFE – Restaurant
Kosher dairy on 41st Street, ORB certified and Cholov Yisroel, doing considerably more than the category usually promises. The Mediterranean side is the heart of it: eggplant carpaccio with tahini, silan and pistachios; house hummus under sauteed mushrooms and onions; crispy cauliflower with sweet chilli. Then salmon carpaccio, sushi rolls and poke bowls, pizza and pasta, panini, burgers and a full breakfast. There is a proper cocktail bar attached. Elegant without being stiff, and a good deal more fun than the label suggests.
