Injera arrives first at Mitmita, folded in a basket and ready to do the work of cutlery. This small Linebaugh Avenue dining room cooks Ethiopian from scratch - ye-doro watt simmered in berbere with its hard-boiled egg, beef tibbs seared with spiced butter and green pepper, ye-shiro watt and kik alitcha for the vegetarian side, chickpea buticha and sambusas to start. Vegetarian and vegan eaters do unusually well here; the five-course veggie platter is built for sharing. The bread is made in house daily. Come hungry, eat with your hands, linger.
