Miznon Hudson Yards – Restaurant
Second floor of the Shops at Hudson Yards, a counter turning out pita after pita from Eyal Shani's Israeli street-food brand, born in Tel Aviv in 2011. The kitchen's whole point is vegetables treated like meat: the baby cauliflower roasted whole, a bag of green beans in lemon-garlic vinaigrette, batata caramelised in its own sweetness. Pitas run from the falafel burger and eggs-no-steak to candy steak, seared overnight brisket with aioli and mustard. Hummus and mezze if you want a plate instead. Quick, cheerful, no ceremony. It is the best thirty minutes on that floor.
