Miznon The Hugh – Restaurant

Inside The Hugh, the food hall at 601 Lexington Avenue, Miznon keeps a counter for midtown east's lunch rush. It is Eyal Shani's Israeli street-food format, Tel Aviv 2011, unchanged in principle: pita, filled hot, eaten fast. The whole roasted baby cauliflower remains the brand's calling card, with pitas of chicken schnitzel in tahini and matbucha, lamb kebab, a falafel burger with sour cream and green chilli, plus batata and a bag of green beans on the side. Malabi or a tahini cookie after. Cheap, quick, genuinely interesting.
