MOLASSES JUNCTION GENERAL STORE – Restaurant
A country store out on County Road 214 west of St. Augustine that opens at six in the morning and cooks straight through. Breakfast is sausage, bacon or bologna egg and cheese on toast, biscuits and gravy, pancake and sausage on a stick, grits when there are grits. By lunch it is burgers, chicken tenders, BBQ pulled pork and a fryer working through cheese sticks, corn nuggets, okra and squash. Specials rotate by the day, from homemade egg rolls to swamp potatoes with Nettles smoked sausage. Closed Sundays. Old-fashioned in the best sense.
