MONKEY'S UNCLE TAVERN – Restaurant
Forty years of Jax Beach nightlife, now in a brighter, cleaner room near the pier on North Third Street. Monkey's opens at eleven in the morning and runs to two, with the kitchen going until one and happy-hour pricing from opening until seven every weekday. The food is honest tavern cooking: wings, burgers, appetizers, entrees and a rotating slate of daily specials. Nights bring bingo, trivia, pool tournaments, live bands and DJs; after nine it's twenty-one and up. Regulars have been coming for decades and say the welcome hasn't changed. A genuine local institution.
