A big American room on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach, styled after the city's 1980s glamour and running a hidden speakeasy of its own behind the main dining room. Breakfast is the sleeper hit, served from half past eight: lobster benedict, Manny's lobster omelet, shrimp and cheesy grits with tabasco au jus, banana foster French toast, chicken and waffles under honey chipotle butter, and Elvira's giant cinnamon roll. Dinner brings grilled octopus, New England clam chowder and a deep wine display. The lava cake is not optional. South Beach, played loud and confident.
