MOZZICO – Restaurant

A small Washington Avenue kitchen in Miami Beach doing Naples by way of Florida -- pizza sold by the 12-inch slice as well as the round, plus a proper sandwich board. The Mortazza layers mortadella, stracciatella and pistachio crumbles; the Mozzicado goes avocado, smoked salmon and stracciatella; the tonno e cipolla pizza is the one regulars talk about. Pastas hold the line at gnocchi sorrentina, rigatoni carbonara and lasagna, and espresso costs three dollars. Praise lands consistently on the crust and the quality of the ingredients. Quiet, quaint, and better than it looks from the street.
