A kosher Israeli kitchen on Beverly Boulevard where chef Guy Balolo cooks well past the usual grill-and-hummus template. Bluefin tuna sashimi and yellowtail carpaccio open the menu, a whole branzino and a hanger steak anchor it, and the hummus with meat — creamy, deep, arriving with warm pita — is what people order first and talk about after. Moroccan cigars, mushroom gnocchi, a brisket sandwich and the house burger fill the middle. Mondays bring a dedicated fish menu. The room is dim and comfortable, service quick and unfussy. Dressed-up cooking without the ceremony.
