A gelateria on Columbus Avenue, a couple of doors from its sibling café, where the gelato is made from scratch in an on-site laboratorio rather than trucked in. The dairy case runs Belgian chocolate, pistachio, Madagascar vanilla, stracciatella, crème brûlée, salted caramel pretzel, Ferrero Rocher and a halva number the neighbourhood is fond of; sorbets cover passion fruit, mango and pineapple, with a full vegan line alongside. Gelato cakes are made to a chef's selection and the whole operation is kosher certified. Upper West Side, Italian method, no shortcuts.
