OKAYAMA SUSHI & HIBACHI – Restaurant

A MetroWest sushi-and-hibachi house on South Kirkman Road, where the teppanyaki grills work in front of the table and the sushi bar keeps its own rhythm. Appetisers run the length of the tradition: gyoza, shrimp shumai, yakitori skewers, takoyaki under bonito flakes, agedashi tofu, crab rangoon, sesame balls filled with sweet red bean. Beyond them sit chicken and pork katsu, bento boxes, sushi and sashimi entrees, special rolls, and hibachi dinners plated with clear soup, salad and fried rice. Bubble tea runs the length of the drinks list. Unshowy Japanese, priced for a weeknight.
