OKEEFES TAP ROOM & RES – Restaurant

A Clearwater landmark on South Fort Harrison Avenue since 1961, when Bill O'Keefe opened a fifty-seat tap room that has since sprawled into a full Irish pub with a Cedar Room, a wide outdoor patio and a brick pole that once stopped a runaway truck. Chef Mike Lane has run the kitchen since 1978: Irish puffs stuffed with corned beef, cabbage and cream cheese, Reuben eggrolls, Guinness meatloaf, bangers and mash, fish and chips, a grouper sandwich. The DuQuesnay family has owned it since 1980 and now runs a St Patrick's party they call one of the largest in the country.
