OKI Miami – Restaurant

A kosher Japanese room on 163rd Street in North Miami Beach from the team behind Fuego Steakhouse, built around a mangal grill and a raw bar that takes crudo seriously. Skewers of beef and shishito or chicken and scallion come off the coals under yakitori glaze; maitake mushrooms and grilled street corn hold their own beside them. From the cold side, hamachi crudo with yuzu honey, tamarind tuna tataki, salmon crispy rice. Mains run to whole grilled branzino, miso-glazed salmon and a ten-ounce ribeye with shiso chimichurri. Under Kosher Miami supervision, and cooking with far more ambition than that label usually suggests.
