O'RICE CHINESE RESTAURANT – Restaurant

A long-standing Chinese takeaway on NW 183rd Street in Miami Gardens, and one that has never spent a dollar on looking the part. What it spends on is the wok. Shrimp lo mein is the dish people name first; behind it sit shrimp fried rice, roast pork slices, chicken and shrimp with mixed vegetables, sweet and sour pork, and wings done plain, fried or in honey garlic. Soups run to special wonton and a wonton-and-egg-drop mix. Regulars are blunt about the room and unanimous about the food. Come for the cooking, not the decor.
