A tight counter-service room on Delancey Street with loud music and not much seating, doing a very convincing impression of a Tel Aviv street stand. Pita Bar builds pitas to order — schnitzel, merguez sausage, Jerusalem mixed grill — and looks after non-meat eaters with sabich and shakshuka. Everything is prepared in the open, and the pita and techina are what people single out. Glatt kosher under OK supervision. Open midday to ten, and late on Saturday nights. Energetic, unpolished, and exactly the point.
