Shalom Pizzeria has held down Haverford Avenue in Philadelphia long enough to become the default kosher answer in the neighbourhood - dairy, Cholov Yisroel and Pas Yisroel, which narrows the field considerably. The menu blends Italian and Middle Eastern in the way kosher pizzerias tend to: pizza by the pie and slice, falafel, salads, and a run of Greek and Mediterranean plates alongside. Open eleven to just before seven most days, closed Friday and Saturday. The reputation is for consistency more than novelty, which after this many years is the harder thing.
