Shem Tov Dairy – Restaurant

Shem Tov is a kosher dairy restaurant on 13th Avenue in Borough Park - CRC certified, with proper seating rather than a takeout window, which puts it in the tradition of the Jewish dairy restaurants that once filled this part of New York. The register is the classic one: dairy cooking, blintzes and fish and soups, served to a neighbourhood that has kept the format alive long after it disappeared elsewhere in the city. Catering runs alongside the dining room. A survivor of a genre, still trading.
