Shibolim Bakery works the ovens on NE 29th Avenue in Aventura, minutes from the mall, turning out kosher breads and pastries under ORB supervision. The speciality is pareve - everything free of dairy and meat - which is a harder way to bake and the reason the challah, rugelach and pastry case matter to a community that cannot simply shop anywhere. Traditional technique, early hours, and a Friday close at three for Shabbat. It functions as a bakery and cafe both: come for the loaf, leave with coffee and something still warm.
