Sim Sim cooks Uzbek and Turkish food on NE 163rd Street, and the giveaway is the plov: a wide pile of rice under tender lamb, carrot, raisins and chickpeas, made by hand rather than portioned out of a pan. Haydari and hummus arrive with soft sesame-crusted bread; kebabs and samsa fill out the rest. The room is a strip-mall space with windows dressed to suggest a Turkish mosque and tables sized for large families, which is exactly who fills it. Entirely halal, open late, and one of the few places in Miami cooking Central Asian food seriously.
