Super Duper Bagels – Restaurant
Super Duper Bagels has been on South Livingston Avenue since 1989, when the Singer family opened it; the Adlers took over after twenty-five years and kept the recipe intact, which is the only thing that matters in a bagel shop. Doors open at 5:30 in the morning and close at two, a schedule that tells you the bagels are baked for the early crowd rather than reheated for the late one. The kitchen is kosher, and the platter business - bagels, fish, fruit and pastry - handles the simchas. Thirty-five years of the same bagel, on purpose.
