TACON MADRES TAQUERIA – Restaurant

Tacon' Madres Taqueria works out on SW 217th Avenue in Homestead, and the tortillas are made in house - which is the whole difference. Asada and barbacoa are the tacos to lead with, backed by quesadillas, burritos, wings and, for the holdouts, hamburgers. Vegetarian options are on the board. Hours run weekday mornings into the early evening with a short Saturday, so it is a lunch and after-work stop rather than a late-night one. Diners who know Mexico City street vendors say it tastes like that rather than like Tex-Mex, which is about the highest compliment available.
