A 54th Avenue South storefront that quietly widened its remit: alongside the American-Chinese standards, Top China now runs poke bowls, hibachi and sushi burritos out of the same kitchen. The Chinese side is what keeps the phone ringing, from General Tso's chicken you can push as spicy as you like to shrimp lo mein, house special fried rice, roast pork chow mein and orange chicken. Egg rolls come out well seasoned and not greasy, and greasy is the exact word regulars keep saying this place isn't. Tofu dishes for the vegetarians, steady prices, and it travels well.
