Trattoria D'Anna keeps a deliberately short menu on Main Street in Dunedin and cooks it with real precision, down to sourcing fats carefully and working around guests' allergies. Lump crab cake and grilled artichokes open; steak Anna, pasta carbonara, gorgonzola gnocchi, a wagyu meatball, lamb shank and a shrimp and lobster risotto follow, with a chocolate souffle at the end. Diners talk about the kitchen's consistency and about servers who time a meal properly rather than rushing it. Not cheap, and nobody seems to mind.
