TREESOME – Restaurant

A health-food cafe on Collins Avenue that manages to be genuinely good rather than merely virtuous. Juices are squeezed to order, the Hangover Remedy being the one people name, and the organic acai bowl arrives big enough to split without anyone feeling shorted. Breakfast runs long: organic crepes, avocado toast, a huevos rancheros bowl, the Super Duper Waffle. Later the kitchen turns to salmon quinoa bowls, papaya boat salads and vegetable quesadillas, with vegan and gluten-free baking alongside. Regulars talk about the portions and the prices in the same breath, and about the staff right after. Clean eating without the sanctimony.
