Two moods, one address on Canal Street: a bright pink dining room stocked with game consoles for families, and an outdoor palapa built for beer, football and wings. Uncle Hanks' Hideaway cooks American comfort food with a Cuban-American accent, including a Cuban pizza section you will not find in many places. The timba burger, layered with bacon, cream cheese, guava and potato sticks, is the one people argue about and then order again. Sliders, nachos, BLTs and a fried chicken sandwich fill out the rest, and an in-house ice cream counter handles the milkshakes. Live bands on weekends.
