Villa Azur turns a South Beach dining room into something closer to a St-Tropez house party — candles, whitewashed walls, a wine cellar you walk past on the way in, and a room that gets progressively louder as the night goes on. The kitchen works French-Mediterranean: crudo and tartare to start, house pastas, whole roasted branzino, steaks off the grill. The signature is the late-evening switch, when the lights drop and the dining room turns into a party without anyone having to leave their table. Come for dinner, plan on staying much later than intended.
