A Cuban bakery and cafeteria on Palm Avenue in Hialeah, run on the idea that pastry is a way of keeping roots. The cases hold pastelitos, empanadas and pastels, cakes in both Cuban and American styles, and a chocoflan that turns up in most orders. There is a full cafeteria side too — sandwiches, coffee, combos — so it works as a morning stop or a mid-afternoon one. Straightforward, sweet, unmistakably Hialeah.
