A Salvadoran hole-in-the-wall on Southwest Sixth Street in Little Havana, open from five in the morning, with a pool-hall-and-bar feel and no interest in polish. Pupusas are the anchor, but regulars talk just as much about the yuca frita, carne asada, tostones, filete de pescado and a beef stew cooked down with tomato and fajita peppers. Portions are large, prices small, and the Spanish-first service is part of the deal rather than an obstacle.
