A 120-year-old yellow cottage in Bradenton's Village of the Arts, restored by a husband-and-wife team and reopened as a quick-casual smokehouse with a porch and a deck. Brisket is the headline — smoked properly, and people say so repeatedly — with pulled pork, ribs, brisket quesadillas, veggie hoagies, nachos, house salad, slaw and a mac and cheese that gets its own paragraph in reviews. Local artwork on the walls, games and crayons for kids, water bowls for dogs, yacht rock on the speakers. Affordable, warm, and run like a family living room.
