Wanderrast Großer Winterberg – bar

You have to earn this one. The Wanderrast sits at the highest point in Saxon Switzerland, reached on foot from Schmilka up the steep mountain path or the Winterberg road. The reward is a terrace with the German-Czech border landscape laid out below and a short, freshly-made menu suited to the climb: Flammkuchen, Bockwurst, seasonal soups, salads, soft-serve ice cream, cold drinks and coffee, with vegetarian and vegan options.
