WATERING HOLE 9NORTH – Restaurant

Umatilla's downtown corner room, rebuilt inside the original brick: bright, clean, roomy booths, and a long bar with plenty of taps, Guinness among them. 9North Grill and Watering Hole swings wide on the menu, from chicken tenders and a bougie grilled cheese at one end to filet mignon and seared ahi tuna at the other, with a beer cheese smash burger, creamy Cajun pasta, fish and chips, fried green tomatoes, fried okra and a fish of the day in between. The wings come out moist and crisp. Diners praise the portions and the service, and tell each other not to skip the carrot cake.
