WHARF – Restaurant

Get there before sunset and take the upstairs patio - that is the move at Wharf 850, sitting on Bayshore Drive at the water's edge in Niceville. The kitchen is seafood-forward and generous: raw oysters on the half shell, oysters Rockefeller, bang bang shrimp tacos, blackened fresh fish Orleans, shrimp and crab cakes, and a fried Wharf platter for the undecided, with Wisconsin cheese curds and chicken and waffles filling the gaps. Live music plays downstairs. Diners consistently mention the portions, the attentive servers and the view, and locals treat it as a secret worth keeping. Closed Mondays.
