Family-run since 1985, when George and Nancy Giampetro opened on Sunset Drive in Coral Gables and started making ice cream by hand, with their son working alongside them ever since. The small-batch flavours turn over several times a day, sitting beside soft serve, sorbet, cones, novelties and ice cream cakes. It is an old-fashioned scoop shop in the literal sense: a counter, a freezer case, homemade product, no gimmicks. Four decades on, still churning.
