ZAZA PIZZA EXPRESS – Restaurant

Cuban-style pizza from a small South Florida family operation — a crust technique borrowed from Italy and then thoroughly reinterpreted for Miami-Dade. The pies run from plain cheese and pepperoni upward; around them sit chicken wings with tostones, malanga fritters, pasta and fajitas, plus smoothies and milkshakes. Prices have stayed stubbornly reasonable, which is a good part of the appeal. Counter service, quick turnaround, family crowd, open late every day of the week. Not chasing anyone's idea of a pizza trend, and better for it.
