Cuban pizza on West 68th Street in Hialeah, which is its own genre and has nothing to apologise for. Cheese and pepperoni pies do the volume; chicken wings with tostones, malanga fritters, pasta and fajitas fill out the board, with smoothies and milkshakes for the table under ten. The room is small, quiet and kept clean — the sort of place a family orders from on a Tuesday rather than makes an evening of. Open late seven days, at prices the rest of Miami-Dade has outgrown. Unpretentious, and entirely deliberate about it.
