Downtown Ocala's 18 South pours coffee from eight in the morning and turns saloon after dark, with live music on the calendar and a Western streak running through everything. The menu talks in vittles and fixins: armadillo dumplings, pork belly bites under honey-pepper glaze, loaded country fries, wings dressed Nashville hot or house 18 South. Burgers arrive double-smashed, the Saloon Stack, the Bubba, the Ring of Fire. From the chuckwagon come country fried steak and a seared top sirloin. Brunch adds a deviled-egg flight and chicken with waffle fries. Finish on wagon wheels, churro bites in cinnamon sugar and caramel.
