Sanford's Rinehart Road corridor is not where you'd expect a South Indian specialist, which is part of the appeal. 5th Element has been cooking here since 2018, running a daily lunch buffet alongside a menu that leans hard on tandoor work and southern staples. Diners keep circling back to the same handful of things: chicken kothu parotta chopped to order, cheese dosa, cheese naan, and a mango lassi to cool it all down. The lamb saag and mutton curry hold their own, but the biryanis get talked about most. Big flavors, unfussy room. Order more than you think you need.
