Tucked into the lobby of the DoubleTree on North Bayshore Drive, 8 1/2 Caffe & Bottega runs on Italian rhythm: espresso first, everything else after. Roberto, who moved to Miami in 2013 and opened the place, keeps the kitchen to breakfast, brunch and lunch. Expect avocado toast, a rotating case of croissants and pastries, and classic American plates with an Italian accent running quietly through them.
