A LO CUBANO – Restaurant

Ten in the morning until ten at night, seven days a week, this Waters Avenue kitchen turns out Cuban food to a steady stream of regulars. The sandwich cubano is the headliner, joined by bistec de palomilla, roast pork, chicken, ham and cheese, a breaded palomilla and pan con minuta built on fried fish. Larger plates bring fish fillet with shrimp under gratinated cheese, arroz congri, fried rice and tostones rellenos stuffed with ham and cheese. Drink guava, mango or passion fruit juice, or a batido. Diners keep singling out the cubano, order after order. Straightforward Cuban cooking, done properly.
