A MARI MIX – Restaurant

A family and woman-owned Kendall kitchen doing what it calls fresh Mex fusion: Mexican cooking with a Cuban twist, running since 2014 under a mother-and-daughter team. The ropa vieja tacos are the clearest statement of intent, with quesadillas, fajitas and house salsas filling out the rest. Dessert is made in house, seasonal ice creams plus a horchata soft serve that ends most meals here. There are cocktails, a bright and unfussy dining room, and hours that stretch late on both Friday and Saturday nights. Portions are built for sharing. Two food traditions, one counter, and no apology for mixing them.
