A daytime counter on Hollywood Boulevard, breakfast first and sandwiches after. Three-egg omelets and breakfast combos run until half past ten, then it becomes a deli: cold subs built on lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, olives and hot or sweet peppers, an Italian mix, a turkey club with bacon, roast beef, tuna or egg salad. Salad platters do the heavier lifting, a chef salad of turkey, ham and provolone, a Caesar, a tropical grilled chicken with mandarin and strawberry, a salmon plate with nova, cream cheese and dill dressing. Soup of the day, pastries, coffee and smoothies throughout. Unpretentious neighbourhood cooking.
