Ahuva's Grill Express – Restaurant
A Glatt kosher Israeli grill that has fed the Five Towns from Rockaway Turnpike for more than fifteen years, certified by the local Vaad. Order at the counter and the shawarma comes off the spit in chicken, beef or lamb; falafel is ground fresh, fried crisp and golden, and arrives with warm pita and a spread of salads you build yourself. Kebabs, soups and cholent round it out, with baklava waiting at the end. Everything is made from scratch, and the salad bar is the part regulars quietly rate highest. Fast, filling and unfussy. A neighbourhood staple, not a destination.
