ALBERTOS PIZZERIA CUBANA – Restaurant
Cuban pizza, blistered and thick-edged, coming out of a small Homestead kitchen on South Dixie Highway. The board stays cheap and unfussy: Pizza Queso, Doble Queso, Jamon, Salchichas, Pepperoni, Cebolla and Bacon around nine or ten dollars, then Atun, Cangrejo, Mixta and Vegetales a little dearer, plus a Pizza Aji built on aji peppers. Ensalada Fria is the lone salad. Batidos come thick in mamey, mango, strawberry and chocolate, with malta and mango juice alongside. Regulars come back for the bready crust edge, the chorizo pie and those milkshakes, and keep noting how fast orders land. Thursday through Sunday only.
