Gainesville's outpost of a family Indian kitchen that started in Ocala in 1996, sitting on South 34th Street with a patio and a proper bar. Order vegetable samosas, chilli chicken or gobhi manchurian first, then work through butter chicken, methi chicken, rogan josh, goat curry, shrimp masala or a lamb biryani, with palak paneer, channa masala and dal fry holding up the vegetarian half. Garlic naan, tandoori roti and sweet Peshawari naan come out of the tandoor alongside chicken tikka, seikh kebab and lamb chops. Finish with gulab jamun or mango cheesecake. Closed Mondays; open late into the evening otherwise.
