ANACAPRI ITALIAN REST – Restaurant

Pinecrest's original Italian dining room, open on South Dixie Highway since April 1990, six years before Pinecrest was a village. Giuseppe and Maria Zuozo built it, then added an Italian market because good imports were hard to find in nineties South Florida, and a wine bar to drink them at. Start with the Antipasto Napolitano of cured meats, marinated vegetables and regional cheeses, fried calamari or burrata, then snapper stuffed with crab, salmon in mustard sauce, or chicken with mushrooms, sausage and peppers in balsamic. Happy hour runs early evenings; monthly Wine Wednesday tastings pour globally. Closed Mondays, otherwise nightly.
