Armando's Pizza – pizza_restaurant

Mon Valley pizza since 1969, still hand-tossed and hearth-baked on Fallowfield Avenue. Dough is made fresh every day without preservatives or additives, and the ovens run late: ten in the morning until midnight most of the week. The board covers specialty pizzas, stromboli, hoagies, wings, pasta dinners, soups, salads and burritos, plus the fish sandwich western Pennsylvania takes so seriously. The shop's own banner claims local votes for best pizza, hoagies and fish sandwiches. A sister store serves the Belle Vernon side too. Half a century on, it remains a straightforward neighbourhood pizza counter keeping unreasonable hours. Order it late.
