AVALON – Restaurant

Surf-shack Americana on East Atlantic Avenue, trading ten in the morning to two the next, all seven days. The kitchen leans on share plates and char: angry lobster rangoon on sourdough, short rib soldiers under fontina and gruyere, whipped ricotta with pistachio and hot honey, blistered shishitos with wasabi mayo, steak skewers with chimichurri. Mains bring filet mignon over garlic mash, prime ribeye, swordfish with charred-corn succotash, miso glazed salmon and short rib ragu on pappardelle. Brunch runs to half past three daily, with short rib benedict and a breakfast burger. Happy hour eleven to six, then again from midnight.
